Professional skills development at home 

A teacher is one who always keeps himself busy in learning new things. So in a way TEACHER IS THE BEST STUDENT. 

For me Reading literature ,grammar books, newspaper, magazines use of internet ,has helped a lot in learning and improving English language..  Along with that reading books related to pedagogy of English has helped a lot in knowing and understanding different methods approaches and techniques for teaching English language.

LSRW are the four major skills to learn a language..  Proficiency of a language depends upon efficiency of skills. If a child needs to be improved in these skills teacher has to plan and practice different activities and use approaches, methods and strategies to keep classroom active and keep learning atmosphere alive especially for  learning ENGLISH. 

Use of

* target language

*avoiding translation method

* child centered activities

*use of TLMS

*Audio visual AIDs

*Bilingualism or multilingualism

*child friendly conversation

* continuous evaluation

* observations

*special attention toward slow learners

 *Remedial teaching

* planning for every day lessons

* providing opportunities and creating platform to speak in English

*motivation and support

* group activities and group learning

This way teacher has to go through different techniques and strategies to engage class and to make children participate and be involved in learning hours.
